Roska PTS has some of the industry’s best well-testing equipment. Our fleet includes numerous modern and well-maintained high-pressure frac packages designed for testing, flowing back and cleaning up newly drilled or recompleted wells in the Montney, Deep Basin, Duvernay and other unconventional reservoirs.

Our high-pressure frac packages are typically made up of high-stage 2,000 psi separators, low-stage 100 psi storage tanks, 3” 10,000 psi ESD valves, junk-catchers, double-drop choke manifolds, flow lines, line heaters, flare stacks, restraint systems, office trailers and more. They are specifically engineered to operate safely with a smaller footprint on busy, complex, multi-well pads.

Our custom-designed frac separator packages are built to perform in an efficient, cost-effective manner, performing the critical well clean-up functions and acquiring reliable data without compromising quality or safety. They have been field-proven on numerous multi-well pad deployments.

Key attributes of our well-testing equipment:

  • Our 2,000 psi frac packages are geared towards the high-rate, high-pressure, multi-phase wells that most E&Ps are focusing on;
  • Our equipment is sour-rated;
  • Our ample fleet size – paired with our experienced supervisors and crews – can handle extended deployments on multi-well pads;
  • With more than 10 complete high-pressure frac packages plus a range of lower-spec equipment, our fleet is large and diverse enough to accommodate an expanding drilling program;
  • We can include a full engineering package of the well testing equipment to be used on your job, including stamped drawings, prepared by our company’s in-house engineering department. We are able to quickly generate detailed engineering tasks such as process simulations, equipment sizing, PSV sizing, shutdown keys, etc. We have extensive experience engineering all wellsite equipment, including early production facilities and complex plan sites;
  • Our packages easily integrate with Roska DBO’s Early Production Facility model to provide semi-automated and more cost-effective extended well tests;
  • Our well-testing equipment can also be integrated with additional gas processing equipment for a custom solution, like dehydration, compression, stabilization and more, such as a Roska DBO vapour recovery compressor unit (VRU) to achieve zero-emissions on trucked-out liquids production;
  • We also perform all sorts of service-related work for which well testing equipment’s portable and rugged nature, and Roska DBO’s operations focus, are well-suited: production work, pigging support, knockout tanks, blowdowns, etc.;
  • Our sophisticated electronic data acquisition system gathers the data, stores it on site and, where specified by the customer, transmits the data in real-time to the desired off-site location; and
  • We are based where the action is.

2,000 psi Horizontal Four-Phase Frac Separator

These late-model, recently built designs are our largest units, made for the highest-rate, highest-pressure wells. Their additional weir achieves genuine four-phase separation (gas, oil/condensate, water and sand). The high pressure rating allows our testers to flow high-rate wells at lower velocity, improving separation and retention. The over-sized 6” inlets and outlets (4” is the industry standard) help eliminate erosion.

1,440 psi Horizontal Four-Phase Frac Separator

Like our 2,000 psi separators, our 1,440 psi units are manufactured with an additional weir to achieve genuine four-phase separation of gas, oil/condensate, water and solids. They are matched to the typical maximum operating pressures of pipelines in western Canada. They can handle the majority of jobs across western Canada, including most wells in the Montney, Duvernay, Deep Basin and other unconventional plays.

100 psi 71 m3 Pressurized Storage Tank

Offering the greatest volume in the well-testing sector, Roska’s 100 psi, 71 m3 storage tanks are a great piece of kit. Recently built, these extra-large tanks are well suited for storing water and condensate on large wells in the Montney and Duvernay. Often packaged with our 2,000 psi and 1,440 psi four-phase frac separators, they can also be deployed as part of an extended well test/early production facility. Roska’s pressurized storage tanks add hugely to process safety compared to traditional 400-barrel tanks, reducing numerous risks including dumping liquids at high pressure drop, flashing or expanding vapours and dumping sand.

3” 10,000 psi 3,000,000 btu/hr Line Heater

Used for hydrate control on the highest-pressure-drop and/or sour applications, our line heaters include upstream and downstream passes and a choke. The uncommonly high pressure rating of this model allows our testers to prevent freeze-up in very high working pressure situations. All Roska PTS line heaters have CSA-B149 compliant fuel gas systems.

Like our 3” units, our 2” choke manifolds are fabricated with tungsten-carbide internals for the highest quality and durability. Double-drop chokes enable us to stage pressure drops for the particular well test, reducing erosion by lowering velocities.
