We can handle whatever
the well throws at us

The producing sector’s shift to high-pressure, liquids-rich reservoirs has been accompanied by large fracturing jobs and high volumes of sand flowing back. That has created the need not only for high-pressure well-testing systems but for the specialized, expert crews to run them safely. That’s Roska PTS.

Our superintendents, supervisors and well testers are knowledgeable, well-educated, well-disciplined and skilled – with the long track records and stellar industry reputations to back up these words.

Customer-Focused,
Locally-Based
Management

Roska’s senior management team includes among the most experienced and respected oilfield service business leaders in the northwest Alberta/northeast B.C. region. planning, shaping the overall organization, driving continuous improvement, and providing day-to-day leadership and direction to the Roska management team. He also continues to be accessible to every Roska employee.

Clayton is committed to creating and growing the company based on long-term customer relationships. To that end he creates value for customers by fostering an organization that is able to meet the expanding requirements of customers for projects while fulfilling traditional customer needs for fast-response provision of people and equipment.

Before joining Roska, Clayton began his career with Petro-Canada, where he gained technical skills and exposure to many facets of the oil and natural gas producing business in Calgary, Fort St. John and Grande Prairie. Clayton also spent time working in the agricultural sector with DowElanco (now Dow AgroSciences) and Northern Vigor Seeds. Clayton’s first exposure to the oil and gas sector came in 1982 at Petro-Canada’s Utikuma field, where he worked as a summer relief field operator while an engineering student.

Clayton was raised in Inuvik and Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories, and holds a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta. He has lived in Grande Prairie and Fort St. John for more than 25 years. Clayton has always aspired to be a farmer and in his spare time continues to operate the family grain farm south of Westlock, Alberta.

testing to his new role. He is responsible for all aspects of Roska PTS, including daily operations, equipment, personnel and ensuring that customers’ needs are met in a professional and timely manner.

Ron is committed to adding customer value by providing best-in-class service from highly trained crews, well-maintained equipment that is fit-for-purpose, and being responsive to customers by helping with any issue that may arise.

Before joining Roska, Ron spent the previous five years working as a well completions site supervisor for Shell Canada and Encana. Ron started his career in well testing in 1987, spending five years with Cantest Production Services before moving on to Northland Production Testing, which was acquired by Precision Drilling in 1998 (and which formed Precision Energy Services). At Precision, Ron was involved in testing and underbalanced drilling in Canada and internationally. In 2005, Weatherford International acquired Precision Energy Services and Ron managed Weatherford International’s Testing Division in Canada until 2010.

Ron was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta where he attended NAIT and in 1987 graduated with a diploma in Hydrocarbon Engineering Technology. After 10 years of well testing, Ron moved to Grande Prairie, Alberta, where he continues to reside with his wife and daughter. In his spare time, Ron enjoys spending time with his family, walking their dogs, bike riding and taking his daughter to her sporting activities.

Experienced
Supervisors

Roska PTS has the depth of senior field personnel required to organize and oversee any well testing scenario in any reservoir across western Canada – plus the numbers to accommodate a significant drilling program by any size of E&P. Our supervisory personnel have many years or decades of experience and are intimately familiar with our equipment.

Things move fast in a well-testing environment, and the people you engage have to know how to read the signals. A sudden slug of sand, for example, can place equipment at risk of eroding or “washing out” and failing. Immediate steps need to be taken. Not every provider has the people for this.

We do. Our people have the expertise to, among other things, ensure proper velocity control to limit the erosion and wash-out of chokes, piping and other equipment, maximizing equipment life the safety of everyone on the well site.

And we have sufficient numbers to competently crew multiple high-pressure well tests simultaneously. Whether the deployment is for two days – or 60. Roska PTS truly can handle whatever the well throws at us.

Expert
Crews

Roska PTS’s experienced and fully-trained well testing personnel have the technical skills to get your well flowing and capture accurate date, the physical skills to “get dirty” and expertly work the equipment, and the smarts to keep everyone safe in a high-pressure environment. They’ll be your eyes, ears, and hands at the well site.

Our People “Get”
Concurrent Operations

Mixing the completions functions with the facilities and operations culture on the well-site has been a perennial challenge. Concurrent operations or sim-ops are a more and more frequent requirement on today’s multi-well sites – but pose continuous safety and operational risks. Having a testing crew and a welder on the same site at the same time, for example, can be a recipe for disaster.

Roska PTS and Roska DBO eliminate that problem. One entity handles both sides, bringing more than 20 years of facilities and operations experience to transition you out of completions and testing into production. With our detailed understanding of all operational factors, we’ll efficiently coordinate concurrent operations, share resources and apply comprehensive safety processes.

From your standpoint, it’s sim-ops made easy.
